About the School
The School of Humanities, Social Sciences and Health (SHSSH) at the University of Wollongong in Dubai offers a range of academically balanced programmes to meet the needs of the various sectors of the industry. The school offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in a variety of disciplines, including Media, Education, Health Sciences. The qualified and experienced academics at the School are dedicated to providing theoretical and practical knowledge of high standard in an intellectually stimulating environment.
Requirements & Responsibilities
The School of Humanities, Social Sciences and Health is seeking applications from experienced academics with core research and practice in Psychology. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership qualities, providing guidance and direction to the psychology program at UOWD. They will actively contribute to the school and university through various governance roles, fostering a culture of academic excellence and innovation.
In addition to academic expertise, industry experience in psychology or related fields would be highly beneficial. The candidate should have a keen understanding of industry trends and practices, allowing for the integration of real-world insights into the curriculum. This practical knowledge will enhance the educational experience for students, preparing them for successful careers in psychology.
Qualifications & Experience
PhD in psychology or equivalent professional qualifications from an accredited academic institution.
Experience in leading academic programs and managing different governance roles.
Teaching and learning experience at an accredited institution.
Experience in teaching research methods and statistics.
A responsible researcher with outcomes including high-impact publications*, generation of research income and industry-research collaborations.
Minimum 5-6 years experience in a university teaching role.
Fluency in the English language (both spoken and written).
