About the Role

The University of Wollongong in Dubai (UOWD) invites applications for Instructor roles in Psychology to support the delivery of the Bachelor of Psychological Science program.

These roles are part of the program’s growth phase and focus on delivering high‑quality undergraduate teaching across core areas of psychology. The successful candidates will contribute to student learning through effective teaching, assessment, and academic support, while also engaging in scholarly activity aligned with the program’s development.

Teaching Responsibilities

The successful candidates will deliver undergraduate teaching across a range of psychology subjects, which may include:

  • Cognitive Psychology

  • Social Psychology

  • Developmental Psychology

  • Clinical Psychology

  • Research Methods and Statistics

  • Neuropsychology and Applied Psychology

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering tutorials, and student‑centred learning activities

  • Assessing student work and providing timely, constructive feedback

  • Supporting student progression and academic development

  • Contributing to curriculum delivery and continuous improvement

About You

You are an academically grounded psychology professional with the ability to deliver clear, structured, and engaging teaching across multiple subject areas.

Essential requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Psychology or a related discipline

  • Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate psychology subjects

  • Sound knowledge across core areas of psychology

  • Strong communication skills and ability to engage diverse student cohorts

Desirable attributes:

  • Teaching experience in higher education (minimum 1 year preferred)

  • Industry or applied psychology experience

  • Interest in developing research activity and contributing to program research profile

  • Ability to engage with industry and support applied learning
