About the School of Engineering
The School of Engineering provides an applied learning environment in which engineering theory, practical experience and contemporary professional practice come together. The School seeks academics who can make technically demanding engineering concepts accessible and relevant, while supporting students in developing the analytical, design and problem-solving capabilities required for professional engineering practice.
About the Role

The successful candidate will contribute to high-quality undergraduate teaching, curriculum delivery and student engagement across key areas of Civil Engineering. The position will particularly suit an early-career academic or industry-informed engineer who is passionate about teaching and can bring contemporary engineering practice and technology into the classroom, while supporting student R&D projects and engaging with scholarly or research activity.
Research & Scholarly Engagement
Although this is primarily a teaching-intensive appointment, UOWD welcomes candidates who are interested in maintaining and developing scholarly activity alongside their teaching responsibilities.
Candidates with an emerging or demonstrated research record aligned with the School's research interests are encouraged to apply, with opportunities to participate in scholarly activity and research collaboration aligned with UOWD's academic priorities. [Civil Instructor | Word]
