UOWD is seeking applications from candidates to fill 2 positions of a full-time Associate Professor in Human Resource Management to commence in September 2022/January 2023.
The Faculty of Business is the largest faculty within the University of Wollongong in Dubai. It offers a range of academically balanced programs to meet the needs of the various sectors of the economy. The Faculty offers undergraduate, postgraduate and Higher Degree Research programs in a variety of disciplines, including Accounting, HR, Finance & Economics; Marketing, Management and Operations, Innovation and Entrepreneurship among others. The qualified and experienced academics at the Faculty are dedicated to providing theoretical and practical knowledge of high standard in an intellectually stimulating environment.
UOWD seeks a dynamic, creative and collaborative faculty member to guide and inspire in the core areas of Human Resource Management. Specific teaching and learning experience as required include teaching at undergraduate and Master’s level. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in teaching various subjects in the discipline, with a particular focus on contemporary themes in HR, including People Analytics, AI in HR, Employee Wellbeing and Talent Management in a hybrid workplace, amongst others.
Candidates should have a PhD in Human Resource Management from an accredited university and are expected to have a strong commitment to and evidence of teaching and learning excellence, and research impact in the core discipline. In addition to scholarly impact, evidence of practice impact is highly valued, given the strong practical focus of the HR Discipline. Candidates are expected to demonstrate evidence of strong and sustained engagement with industry, and with other relevant external stakeholders.
